KUCCPS opens an online portal for tvet courses application Ends on 30th September 2024
Kuccps portal is now open for TVET courses application. You can apply for diploma, certificate, or artisan course of your choice and recieve a scholarship.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services (KUCCPS) has opened an online application portal for candidates who sat for KCSE between 2000 and 2023 and would like to enrol in a TVET institution.
The portal will be closed on close on 30th September 2024. Applicants must be form four leavers who have never been placed by KUCCPS before.
TVET colleges in Kenya offer courses in applied sciences, engineering, architecture, Information technology, Education, business, and many more courses at diploma, certificate, and artisan levels of study.
Entry Requirements for Courses on offer
The entry requirements start from a KCSE mean grade of E. Form four leavers who scored grade E and above between the years 2000 and 2023 are encouraged to apply as long as they have never been placed by KUCCPS before.
The entry requirement for almost all diploma courses is at least C minus in KCSE without any subject requirements. However, courses such as Diploma in architecture, pharmacy, and medical laboratory science require at least a C plain in KCSE.
Certificate/Artisan courses require at least a D plain in KCSE.
Artisan courses require at least a mean grade of E in KCSE.

Education Funding
All students placed by KUCCPS will be eligible for Higher Education Funding and HELB.
Available institution
You can apply to any public college of your choice as long as it’s listed on the KUCCPS portal and it’s offering your preferred course.

Application Deadline
The application deadline will be on 21st August 2024. You should submit your application before the deadline. However, the placement board might extend the deadline for a few days depending on the number of applications submitted.
I applied for Tvets placement on second of August 2024 but upto now I am yet to be placed, when should we expect the placement results? Because the application process runs upto end of September and yet we applied first. Should we wait for the rest of they will be placing people continuesly.

Hi Patriciah. you can enroll for a diploma course of your choice. The entry requirement for most diploma courses is C minus. There are no minimum subject requirements

tvet institutions only offer diploma, certificate and artisan courses
Is it possible for a certificate holder (graduate) of a TVET course to apply for the same course for diploma in the same institute to continue with his studies under KUCCPS scholarship
It you were previously placed by KUCCPS to study the certificate course. If kucps have neve placed you, you can go ahead and apply as long as you meet the entry requirements for your preferred course. Wishing you all the best
