Diploma in Nursing
Diploma in Nursing in Kenya has many specializations including but not limited to, community health nursing, mental health, psychiatry, registered nursing anesthetics, and many more.
The entry requirements for any specialization at the diploma level are the same.
Entry requirements
You can secure direct admission if you meet the following entry requirements.
- At least C plain in KCSE.
- At least C plain in English/Kiswahili and Biology/Biological sciences.
- C minus or above in either chemistry, physics, or mathematics.

Certificate in Nursing in Kenya (Colleges and requirements)
If you did not meet the requirements for a diploma in Kenya, you can enroll for a certificate course in nursing if you satisfy the following requirements as laid out by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- At least C minus in KCSE.
- At least C minus in English/Kiswahili and Biology/Biological Sciences.
- D plus or above in either chemistry, physics, or mathematics.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in Kenya (Requirements and institutions)
One of the most sought nursing course in Kenya is the Bachelor of Nursing. If you scored an overall C plus and above, you are eligible for direct entry but you have to meet the minimum subject requirements and cluster points for the course in your intended institution.
If you hold a diploma in nursing you are eligible to upgrade to a degree in an approved institution.
Requirements for Bachelor of Nursing
To get a direct entry into Bachelor of Nursing (BSN), you have to meet the following requirements.
- At least C plus in KCSE.
- A minimum of C plus in biology, chemistry, Mathematics/Physics, and English/Kiswahili.
