KIHBT diploma courses and requirements

The following are diploma courses offered at the Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology.

  1. Diploma in automotive engineering – C minus
  2. Diploma in architecture – An average of C plain with C plain in Maths, physics, and English/Kiswahili.
  3. Diploma in quantity surveying – An average of C plain with C plain in Maths, physics, and English/Kiswahili.
  4. Diploma in civil engineering – C minus
  5. Diploma in mechanical engineering (plant option) – C minus
  6. Diploma in construction plant engineering – C minus
  7. Diploma in highways engineering – C minus
  8. Diploma in information communication technology – C minus
  9. Diploma in land surveying An average of C minus with C minus in Maths, physics, and English/Kiswahili.
  10. Diploma in Building – C minus
  11. Diploma in electrical & electronic engineering(power option) – C minus

KIHBT courses entry requirements

To secure admission at KIHBT for either a diploma or certificate course, you need to meet the following requirements.

Fee structure

In case you are considering enrolling in any of the courses covered above. You will be required to pay KSH 22, 000 per term for diploma courses and KSH 19, 500 for certificate/craft courses.

For accommodation and meals, you will be required to pay KSH 17, 000 per term. Alternatively, you can find your means of accommodation and meals.

KIHBT campuses

Kihbt three campuses. They are;

  1. Nairobi campus.
  2. Kisii campus.
  3. Ngong campus.

Application

You can submit your application directly to the institution or apply through KUCCPS when the application window opens. We highly recommend the latter since you will be eligible for government scholarship and other benefits.
