To secure admission to the course, you need to meet the following entry requirements.
- At least C minus in KCSE.
- There are no minimum subject requirements for the course.

Public institutions offering the course in Kenya
You can enroll for a diploma in journalism in any of the following institutions.

- Kabete national polytechnic
- Kenya coast polytechnic
- Masinga technical and vocational college
- Michuki technical training institute
- Molo technical & vocational college
The entry requirement for the course in the above institutions is at least C minus in KCSE and applications can be submitted via KUCCPS.
