Entry requirements for Diploma in Journalism in Kenya

To secure admission to the course, you need to meet the following entry requirements.

  1. At least C minus in KCSE.
  2. There are no minimum subject requirements for the course.

Note that the above requirements apply to public institutions covered in this article. Private institutions might have other requirements.

Public institutions offering the course in Kenya

You can enroll for a diploma in journalism in any of the following institutions.

  1. Eldoret polytechnic
  2. Jaramogi oginga odinga university of science and technology
  3. Kabete national polytechnic
  4. Kenya coast polytechnic
  5. Masinga technical and vocational college
  6. Michuki technical training institute
  7. Molo technical & vocational college

The entry requirement for the course in the above institutions is at least C minus in KCSE and applications can be submitted via KUCCPS.

There are other public and private institutions offering the course.

Study duration

Just like other diploma courses, a diploma in journalism takes at least three years to complete.
