Admission requirements for bachelor’s degree in Nursing
To secure direct enrollment for a bachelor in nursing in Kenya, you need to meet the following KCSE requirements
- KCSE mean of at least C+ (PLUS).
- A minimum of C plus in Biology.
- A minimum of C plus in Chemistry.
- At least a C plus in either mathematics or physics.
- At least C plus in English or Kiswahili.
- Meet the cluster points in your preferred university.
If you hold a diploma in nursing, you can apply for an upgrading course directly to the university as a self-sponsored student. Upgrading takes 2 to 3 years.

Applications
Applications for direct entry can be submitted through the KUCCPS portal when it’s open for university applications. Applications submitted to public universities will be eligible for government funding and HELB.
