Diploma in pharmaceutical technology is a 3-year course offered in different Kenya universities and colleges.
Graduates undergo a one-year internship in a hospital before they can register with the Kenya Pharmacy and Poison board to practice as pharmaceutical technologists in Kenya.
Pharmaceutical technologist work in pharmacies as medicine dispensers or in pharmaceutical companies as medicine formulators, quality control and assurance officers, medical representatives, pharmacovigilance officers among many other duties.
