Civil engineering requirements in Kenya (Cert, Dip and degree)

These are the requirements to enroll for a civil engineering degree, diploma, or craft level.

Degree requirements

  1. KCSE mean grade of C plus.
  2. At least C plus in Mathematics, Physics, chemistry and in either english or kiswahili. students can apply through KUCCPS.
  3. Alternatively, holders of diploma in the course or related can apply directly to the institutions.

Diploma requirements

  1. KCSE mean grade of C minus. There are minimum subject requirements. Application can be done through KUCCPS.
  2. Altermativey, holders of respective certificate courses can apply for this program in their institution of choice.

Certificate requirements

  1. KCSE mean grade of D plus. Application can be don through KUCCPS.
  2. Holders of craft certificate i the same course can apply directly to an institution of their choice.

Craft requirements

  1. KCSE mean grade of D plain.

Notes

Note that applications for any courses can be made through Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services (KUCCPS) when the portal is open for applications as long as one meets the requirements. The government sponsors applicants who apply through KUCCPS.
